What is Google AdSense?
Google AdSense is an advertising program launched in mid-2003 by Google, the popular search engine. Google acts as an intermediary between many advertisers and the same impressive number of website owners. Google.com generates most revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search results pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.
Advertisers sign up with Google and create text ads that they want to be shown. Google displays ads on search results page that peoples do from Google.com. Google AdSense program allows these ads appear on pages throughout the internet. To see some examples of my ads, please see the sidebar on the page.
Now you can get a portion of the income derived from the same Google AdWords to display text ads on your site. In other words, you are helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.
Every website owner should at least consider the adsense program. Even if your site is for informational purposes only, you can still participate and make money with AdSense is worth – or at least not enough to fund your website.
So if you are one of those people who do not like paying for the site, this is the best way to get your money back and then some.
