URL channels are easy to apply. There are no changes to your AdSense ad code, so you can create a channel from within your publisher account, and immediately begin tracking performance.

You can use URL channels to track individual pages, or to track groups of pages on your site’s directory structure.

To create a URL channel are below:

1. Log in to your Google Adsense Anda. https://www.google.com/adsense
   If you do not have an account, then you must sign up for one. Just make sure that you have a Web site to submit to Google when you are ready to register. This is a requirment.
2. Click on “Adsense Setup” tab.
3. Click on the “channel” link.
4. Click on “Channel URL” link.
5. Make your URL channels.
   You have the option to create a URL channel for a particular Web page or an article or an entire website. After a while, you’ll have too many articles or Web pages to track an individual in order to track the articles on health for instance, you’ll need to create a URL channel for www.samplehealth.com.
6. Checking your progress.
   Your URL channels will only appear on your report screen (first screen you see when you log in) if you have the impression at least one of them.

The new URL channel will begin tracking data immediately.
Keep in mind that because URL channels do not require changes in your code, there is no need to specify a URL channel when generating your AdSense code. Once you’ve created a URL channel, it will track automatically.

   URL channels are only available for AdSense for content pages. If you want to track your AdSense for search performance, use a custom channel.
2. Custom Channels.
   With Custom channels can help you to track the performance of specific ad units based on the criteria established. By pasting channel-specific ad code into your page, you can track a variety of metrics across various URLs. Custom channels can be used to track the performance for a variety of ad formats, for example, or to compare different page topics to each other. You can also change a custom channel into an ad placement that can be selected advertisers to place their ads.

In the google adsense program is available up to 200 AdSense channels and 200 AdSense for search channels for each publisher, you can use channels to gain the insight you need to optimize your site performance. It’s easy to add, disable, or rename a channel, and a simple custom report to generate.
